Birdhouse Desk-tidy

Hellllllooooooooooo,

Dawn here with you today for Anything Goes week over at Tando Creative. I'm sharing my take on the fab Triple Birdhouse/Desktop Storage......................

The mini flowers were coloured and cut in half and used to create a border all around the bottom of the houses. A mixture of elements from the Steampunk Wings and Cogs set, the Mini Frames set and the Cogs Grab Bag were coloured and used to create window frames - a perfect fit they were too!

Here is what I used.........

Heat it up.........

Hi All,

I love the 'magic' of embossing powder (lol my children are fascinated by it too!!) and how versatile it can be for stamping and masking/stenciling with.

I have made a hanging using the centre of the arch that I used for last weeks make, which can be seen here if you fancy a peek.

Texture paste was applied through the Long Flourish mask. Once dry a couple of coats of acrylic were added. A text stamp from my stash was used next with embossing ink and silver embossing powder. The mask was then placed over the modelling paste, embossing ink was used through the mask, the mask was removed and the relief pattern was embossed in silver. The edge of the hanging has been fully embossed too! A butterfly from the small bugs set was decorated and added for interest and a small stamped sentiment was added to finish.

Here is what I used......

Arches - Straight edged large

Bug Set 1 Small

Many thanks for popping by today,

Hugs

Colour Theme week over at Tando

HI Everyone,

This is my June colour theme make for the weekly challenge over on the Tando blog.

I had a play with the fabulous large straight edged arch. This comes in a pack of 2, each with three parts - the base, the frame and the frame centre (I'll show you what I did with the centre next week).

I started by adding the circles, which came from the round grid to the frame, once dry this, and the base, were primed and painted with acrylics. I used a  texture stamp from my stash and stamped randomly on the base with a coordinating acrylic paint. A crackle stamp was used to add some more detail to the frame too. I then stippled the 2 base acrylic colours carefully onto the circles on the frame to tie the piece together.
Octopode Factory's Cheshire cat  and a sentiment were stamped and added to the arch to finish.

Here is what I used.....

Arches - Straight edged large

Grid - Round
