Hi all,
hope you are all enjoying this fabulous sunshine, what a pleasant week it has been so far!!
I just had to share this with you, a small project inspired by one that was blogged by the fab Kate Crane last week. If you want to see the project please hop over here.
I had so much fun, thank-you Kate for the inspiration.
I took 2 A4 bits of card and divided them each into 4 pieces, making 8 pages in total. These were then all sprayed, splatted and smooshed with lots of dylusions ink, memories mists, acrylic ink and acrylic paint.
Once both sides were dry I got my increasingly large collection of masks out (Tando and Creative Expressions) and stencilled away to my hearts content until I was happy.
I then used a Tattered Angels flourish stamp in various places across all the pages to unify the whole project.
Here you go........
As you can see, this is still very much a work in progress as no holes have been punched yet and no embellishments have been added.
I have to admit that there is rather a large piece of me saying leave well alone for the moment because I like the pages so much ha ha. ((Karen - thank-you for your advice, think you are bang on the money but I can't bear to try it yet, daft mare me I know but will pluck up the courage one day I hope!!))
Thank-you for popping by,
Big hugs x x x x

OOh how nice! Wonderful colours, looks like you had a lot of fun! So glad you felt inspired to have a go :-)
Woohoo Dawn I love your pages, they are all fabulous. Def looks like you had great fun :o))
Thank you for your really nice pm & all your kind blog comments.. promise to catch up with you soon.. schools hols and all that!!!
Take care & enjoy the sunshine.. we have rain this morning, again!
I stopped by to thank you for again sending your positive Cornwall thoughts to the Pacific NW for my son! Then I saw all this painty, arty goodness - what a treat! I love your folded AB pages - I love how you took her tutorial and made it your own. Then, those pages above are just outstanding. Each and every one. Outstanding. I love the play of color and pattern and how a pattern will repeat for awhile, then disappear, to be replaced by another one edging in. Can't wait to see what happens next.
Thanks again for the continued support and good wishes.
thanks for visiting my blog, your backgrounds are fab - but I promise you they will look even better when you decide to put a focal design as a foreground image, really they will, you don't have to be too brave - scan and print them and try it on a 'test' version, you won't regret it!
YAY - think we are back in the internet world at last. LOVE LOVE LOVE all your pages and really MUST try and do some myself. Thanks for the tutorial link. BJ
Looks like you have been having some wonderful inky painty fun!! I love all those colors, so pretty! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina
I'm the same Dawn when I've created a background for a page I don't want to cover it up. Your pages are gorgeous. My favourite has to be the very first one on the lefthandside. :)
Wow-wee all your backgrounds are fabulous Dawn, these will make a wonderful book for you to journal your heart out in!!!
That looks weird typed - out in - but you know what I mean :-)
Hope you have a great week!
