brrrrrr, chilly wind today!!! Ha ha ha I'm still resisting the temptation to turn the heating on though!!!!!!!!
I can't believe how full and colourful my book is looking now, this is such a fun challenge and I will be sooooooooo sad when it draws to a close. I got brave again but couldn't find anything in my trusty drawing instruction book so I resorted to flicking through a magazine to find a photo to work from, lots of artistic licence applied of course!!!!!!!!
If you fancy a peek at what this challenge is all about please pop on over HERE, and if you would like a nose at the other J entries please pop on over HERE.
Anyhoo, my chosen word for the letter J is JUNO - Roman Queen of the Gods, wife (and also sister lol) of Jupiter........
Tee hee, a very modern day interpretation maybe but I think she looks regal enough!!!!!!!!
Lol, I never thought about putting a crown on her until it was too late, sigh!!!! Luckily I managed to find a suitable stamp which was embossed in gold and added to balance the page a bit more.
Stamp credits - Alphabet set by see-d's and the crown is from a My Minds Eye set.
Many thanks for popping by and leaving a comment if you feel you would like to, your time and thoughts mean so very much.
Huge hugs

Oh Dawn, this is gorgeous. You draw SO well. I love how you can see the book background through her face.
What is so funny is my e-mail address is juno.com. I was aware it was originally the Queen of the gods. Wish my e-mail was as queenly (grin).
Those crowns are the perfect addition to balance the face. You did an excellent job. I love it all, right down to the colors you used.
Have a super weekend.
ooooeeeerrr !!!! you are getting very good at this drawing lark!!! This is fabulous Dawnie!!! Gorgeous page & colours! HUGS xxx
A modern but great version of Juno sweetie !!! You drew her with a lot of character, and used fab colours to highlight her also, with a cute addition of the crowns... Love that !! I really regret to have stopped my dictionary when I see yours tee hee! :))) Have a lovely week-end, Huge Hugs Coco xxx
What a delightful idea and I love your drawing. The only face I could draw would be appropriate for Halloween and would be entitled Mask! I love my dictionary too as I have more and more pages of color and fun. I have found that it says a lot about my life too.

A great modern take on Juno and of course more fabulous drawing, glad to see you keeping it up. I did a spot of painting this time too and surprised myself with it - so our practicing is paying off. We also seem to be keeping our big sisters in awe too which is always good to do once in a while.lol.
Your drawings are super and this one especially is amazing. Excellent page. BJ
I'm loving following along on this project - faces intimidate me mightily and yet I love seeing how others put their own spin on them. This is one strong looking lady...just look at that jaw line. I wouldn't want to mess with her! :)
Weather is definitely cooler and fall is here in full force in the Pacific NW. This week is supposed to be foggy mornings, sunny afternoons and 60. Can't beat that!!
Beautifully drawn Dawn and the pages are wonderful.
:)

Wife and sister, eh? lol
