Altered book, lesson 5 part 1

Hi everyone, hope you are all well?

I have been desperately trying to catch up with the lovely Elizabeth's altered book workshop. Here is my first attempt at a collage using the design principals she asked us to focus on.  I have used cosmic shimmer chalk sprays, some papers from Fancy Pants designs 'Wishful Thinking' collection (free with a mag)  and an Inkadinkadoo stamp.  Not entirely sure I have quite got the gist yet lol, but here goes anyway......

Elizabeth asked us to look at the following principals -

Harmony - think I have covered this with colour.
Unity - the sentiment and linked elements used.
Balance - not sure to be honest, still looks a little disjointed to me!
Emphasis - the sentiment and stars.
Proportion - the different sized stars and circles.

Any feedback and thoughts on this one would be very gratefully received, am feeling totally out of my comfort zone with this one lol.  My apologies for the photography too, another masterclass from big sis is required methinks!!

Thanks for peeking x

This really is a lovely page Dawn! Looks to me like you got all the priniciples right, but then I am learning too hahaha!!! Love the sentiment and the cloud on the right is really soft & pretty with the swirls complimenting it perfectly. Fabulous work my lovely xxx

I see unity in the three circles. The closer several elements are to each other, the more unity you create.

You have a lot going on in this spread. I do like the asymmetrical balance of the black swirls and the white ones in the opposite corner.

Actually your photography is better than mine. You have nothing to apologize for. And I'm so glad you joined in the class. It's great that you were able to join and pick it up so quickly.

Love the colours Dawn and that swirl stamp is fab.

Other than I've no idea as this sort of thing foxes me totally - lol Its as far away from my comfort zone as you can get!

Wow I love it!
The colours, the stamp, the star and the wording - well done. It all works so well together.
