Craft Barn Alpha Challenge - Letter E

Evening folks,

here is my E page for the fab challenge set by the Craft Barn for 2013, please pop on over here for full details. For a view of all the entries to date please pop on over here too!

Ha ha ha, I am trying to stick to a mythological theme and knew already that the dictionary I am altering is limited in its references to this subject but I am sure with a little artistic licence I will manage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

E was a bit of a problem until I found my chosen word - Elemental! Inspiration hit as I realised I could adapt it ,loosely albeit, to my theme.

Here you go.................

The backgrounds were created very simply with distress inks and a copic coloured border.

Air - the angel is from a Debbie Moore set, she was stamped and coloured using DI and a gold metallic marker. The clouds were hand-drawn with a white gel pen.
Fire -  the dragon is a peel-off from Papermania (I think?) and was coloured using a gold metallic marker. I drew some tounges of fire using the gold marker, lol you can just about see them!!
Earth - the fairy is by Papermania, she was stamped and coloured with DI, some stickles was also added to her wings for a little sparkle, the leaves on the fairy section are by fiskars.
Water - the mermaid and bubbles are from a Little Big Tree set, the mermaid was embossed in silver directly onto the page and coloured with DI and a silver metallic marker.

The elemental titles were doodled directly on to the page.

Here are scanned copies of the above so you can hopefully see more of the details (lol my camera is pants!!)........

Many thanks for popping by and leaving a comment if you feel you would like too.

Huge hugs

Dawn x

Great adaptation of your word!

I'm just not a stamper and certainly not a colourer-in kind of a person which is why I liked the technique to use any stamp as a border. Not much to resist in the stamp department as they just don't appeal to me really. BJ
