Altered Book - Colour Wheel

Hello all,

ha ha, back to good old British weather!! Hey ho, I did enjoy it while it lasted and here's hoping for some more sun before the sprogs go back to school!!

I am back-tracking with this one as this was a lesson done by the fab Elizabeth, Altered Book Lover, many many weeks ago.  I was determined to do one for my own reference purposes firstly and also because it looked like lots of fun.

I started by priming my pages with white acrylic and then sprayed them with some chalk mist.
The colours were found in a free fruit and veg catalogue, lol all bar one! The blue one is of the Blue Ridge Mountains which came from a holiday brochure.
Some basic doodling then finished the page off a little more, lol I wanted to keep this one really simple (ha ha ha, bit like me really!!)

Thanks for popping by,

Big hugs x x x x

Dawn

Brilliant Colour Wheel spread in your AB - love it. So glad you had some "Happy Tears" today, I had happy tear buckets full with my cyber hug from you :) I'm not the only one to have problems with the WORDPLAY die but I will live with it this time, glad I made it "public" though. Might mention it on my QVC review too.

What a great colour wheel. I love the use of the veg images. :)

Not only did you interpret this color wheel magnificently, you also used magazine images. I keep telling people they are missing out when they throw magazines away. Even the simplest images can become important, especially as you have shown. You really, really make me proud!!

I forgot to mention, Dawn. I was born with a rare form of arthritis that has affected me since birth. It is in all of my joints. I know it sounds like I should be house bound, but I refuse to allow this disease to affect me. Thanks for asking!

Dawn - thanks for the kind comment about my APR series -I really like painting trees but am really such a novice. They're fun though. And thanks for asking about my son....you're so sweet. He's doing MUCH better! He said he's basically feeling back to normal except for the achy jaw. He's got another 4 weeks or so of a liquid diet and then we have to deal with a dentist and the broken front teeth. Don't know yet if the roots were damaged....but compared to the broken jaw, should be easier.

Love your fresh idea on the color wheel - very original! I'm so far behind on that project I don't even know where to begin - guess I need to go back to Elizabeth's tutorials and just start working through them.

This is a super color wheel! The fruits & veggies, of course, match your theme perfectly!
