A Ray of Sunshine

Hi all,

after a wonderful sunny day today I decided to do a quick journal page and share some sunshine with everyone else who may not have been so lucky.

I started with a very quick acrylic ink wash and sprayed my gessoed page. The sun was drawn on watercolour paper, outlined with a copic fine-liner and coloured with promarkers. I cut the sun out and stuck it on then doodled lots with a gold glitter pen. The sentiment is my own as far as I know and was stamped using black memento and a basic alphabet set. One quick journal page to lift the spirits hopefully?

Thanks for taking time for a peek.

You've certainly cheered me up with your ray of sunshine Dawn!
I also love your Acetate cheshire cat page and your goddess, she looks great with only one eye and the rest is up to our imagination :-)
Hope you have a great week, rain or no rain!

This is lovely and I really needed the cheery page today! In addition to my son recovering from his bike accident, it's gray and overcast here in Seattle so this sparkle is much appreciated. Thanks so much for the kind thoughts and hopefully you're darling *young* children won't give you such a scare!

Am I the only one who couldn't get on Blogger yesterday? Very frustrating, since I could get on other blogs and web sites, just not BLOGGER.

Your ray of sunshine is great, but I have more sun than I could possibly want right now. However, I was impressed with your journal page. And the sentiment was perfect for the background!!

Such a happy looking page Dawn, love it!
Thanks for the comment on my postcard - the local ephemera supplier is called "What Katy Did Next" (as the owner is called Katy and left a fairly high powered job to do something crafty with recycled stuff!)

YAY - we have had TWO days of REAL sunshine, your tag is surely working. I couldn't wait with my AB and a zip and still used all the pages as I wanted it to be secure. Just blogged it. Thanks BJ
